“Bacaro is like eating dinner in the living room of good friends.”

At Bacaro, the excellent food, appealing style, specially chosen wines and great service stand out. All served with a big portion of love.

We offer great food with a special focus on pure flavors, plenty of fruits and vegetables and seasonal ingredients. Everything on a small scale and sustainable, organic and locally produced.

You’ll find lighter bar food, for example a great charcuterie plate of specially chosen cheese and meat delicacies from Italy’s Piedmont region, or a classic bruschetta; to main courses like duck confit and our rich bouillabaisse. We also serve the best pasta from Morelli with, say, delicious buffalo mozzarella.

The carefully selected wine list is available even by the glass in most cases.

Bacaro’s interior design can best be described as a mix of New York with a bit of Stockholm’s Södermalm and Stureplan neighborhoods thrown in. Elegant and beautifully framed, with a captivating ambience and a local touch.

“We decided to forego a stiffer, luxury restaurant feeling in favor of an unpretentious atmosphere for all ages and pocketbooks,” says Helena Stenberg, partner.

This way of thinking can be found in everything from the design to the service, the menu to the price list, all without sacrificing quality.

At Bacaro, we also can arrange various kinds of special events, everything from guest chefs in the kitchen preparing their favorite dishes, DJs who play great music we like, wine tastings, operatic performances to fixing events and parties.

Restaurant Bacaro is run by photographer Carlo Bosco with partner/girlfriend Helena Stenberg, who have long experience in the advertising and fashion industries as well as having worked many years in the restaurant business.
